We just got back late last night from a two-week vacation in Portugal. What a beautiful country- and what an adventure it was for us. I will keep the chatter to a minimum for now- and add more later, as I intend for this blog not only to tell friends and family all about our trip, but to hopefully help anyone who might be considering or planning a trip there.
I will put a new post for every day, and show where we stayed and the highlights of that day.
The first night we stayed in the village of Obidos, about an hour north of Lisbon. We couldn't have asked for a more picturesque or exciting place to start our vacation!
We stayed in the Pousada de Castelo, which is a castle and a former Royal Palace. We got to walk along the wall of the village and as you can see, it is a very charming place!
